The National Book Trust, India, established in 1957 for the promotion of books and to inculcate book culture in India, organises book fairs/festivals at local, regional and national levels and a biennial New Delhi World Book Fair. The New Delhi World Book Fair is the biggest book fair in the Afro-Asian Region and attracts exhibitors both from India and abroad.

World Book Fair 2010 (30th - 7th Feb 2010)
The National Book Trust, India is pleased to announce that the 19th New Delhi World Book Fair. The theme of the Fair is “Reading for Common Wealth” to be presented in the form of an International Rights Exhibition of the Books on Sports in India on the occasion of the hosting of the Commonwealth Games by New Delhi in October 2010.

19th New Delhi World Book Fair 2010 - Sporty theme this year

Here’s some good new for all book lovers in the city – the World Book Fair, held biennial , is all set to start in the capital from the 30th of January, 2010 .The World Book Fair, held in Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, is India's oldest book fair. Started in 1972, this biennial event takes place in early February, and is organized by the National Book Trust, India (NBT). It is the largest book fair in India and has a more economic side, supporting also the growing markets of neighboring countries.

The fair will see books on all genres and from across the world but the theme this year is "Reading for Commonwealth" in view of the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in October.
