As per as the Latest Circular of Ggsipu University Dated 29th Jan 2010 , every affiliated college has to display information of their institute publicly on their website . it has been desired by competent authority of the university that mandatory information to be provided on their website . A copy of the same shall also be submitted to the university along with soft copy . this action is taken to promote " Right to information Act 2005 " . University has asked to declare General and and financial status of the institute .

Heritage Bicycle Ride in Delhi on Sun, Jan31

Last Sunday on 31st Jan a “Heritage Ride” to visit and explore Shahjahanabad (walled city) of Delhi was organised by Delhi Cycling Club with support from NGOs ITDP and INTACH Delhi Chapter. Here’s some good new for all book lovers in the city – the World Book Fair, held biennial , is all set to start in the capital from the 30th of January, 2010 .The World Book Fair, held in Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, is India's oldest book fair. Started in 1972, this biennial event takes place in early February, and is organized by the National Book Trust, India (NBT). It is the largest book fair in India and has a more economic side, supporting also the growing markets of neighboring countries.

The fair will see books on all genres and from across the world but the theme this year is "Reading for Commonwealth" in view of the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in October.

IP university has decided to raise Fee by 30% . now student need to pay 30% more then they Paid Last year . Delhi Govt State fee regulatory has planned formula for self finance institute for session 2009-12 . As Per as their recommendation , they has divided all institute in 4 category A+ , A , B & C . and Fee would be increase by category wise . In all Category fee would be increase from 15-30%.
As per as report , In Category A+ 30 % , A 25% , B 20% and C 15% Fee would be increase .

DST Category Counselling for all programmes at University School of Studies and Government Institutes for the session 2009-10

In compliance with the order of Hon'ble Supreme Court IA No. 7-12 in Civil Appeal No. (5) 5092 of 2009, the Counselling for DST category for all programmes conducted at University Schools of Studies and Government Institutions for the session 2009-10 is scheduled to be held on 2" d and 4th December, 2009 at the University Campus.

Half day Holiday on 08 October, 2009

Today the University has declared half day in all the colleges under it, including affiliate ones. This holiday has been declared on the account of "Phool Walon ki Sair" in Delhi. It is no surprise that student would be happy with this news. This order was released by the University on its website today in the morning, it was a bit late but no one would complain.

Official GGSIPU Students' Council

University has released a notification on its website stating that they have constituted a Students' Council of GGSIPU for the Academic session 2009-2010. They also released the list of students who would be part of this council. What surprises me after looking at this announcement, is that all the students in the list are final year toppers based on their CPI of previous semester. Besides there are also some students in the list referred by the Director, Students’ welfare.

Anti Ragging HelpLine

I was browsing through the University website and I found a letter from GGSIPU to all the Principals and Directors of the affiliated colleges. The letter was about the formation of an Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Squad in all the colleges. As per the directions of the Supreme Court it has become compulsory that each academic institution must constitute an "Anti Ragging Committee" as well an "Anti Ragging Squad" to curb any incident of ragging which has become a serious social evil.

IPUCell - Volunteer Nominations (1st meet)

Counselling Postponed for various courses

The counseling dates have been postponed for various courses. This notice was uploaded on the University website, University officials have not mentioned the reason for this delay, but they have mentioned that it is due to some Administrative Reasons.
